Integrated Undergraduate Masters in Chiropractic (MChiro)
The Integrated Undergraduate Masters in Chiropractic (MChiro) is specifically designed to give you the necessary skills, knowledge and hands-on experience you need to become a safe and competent chiropractor.There are two programmes for study available which are recognised by the General Chiropractic Council (GCC) as a route for acceptance on to the Register of Chiropractors.
There are two options for study over four or five years:
– Four Year Programme – held during the week in a traditional full time mode, starting in September;
– Five Year Programme – held mostly at weekends and two full weeks (spring and summer schools), starting in January.
The Five Year Programme offers flexibility for those who are considering a career change and wish to continue working whilst studying, or are coming back into formal education.
The McTimoney College of Chiropractic is located in Abingdon, Oxfordshire and both programmes are available at this location.Subject to GCC recognition, the College is expanding so as to be able to offer MChiro from Manchester from January 2014.

Masters (MSc) in Animal Manipulation
Validated by the University of Wales, the MSc Animal Manipulation programme is currently unique in the world, in that it is the only externally validated Masters level programme that trains students in Animal Manipulation.
Students have to already be trained in a hands-on profession, such as chiropractic, physiotherapy or osteopathy, be a member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons, or have a BSc Degree in Equine or Animal Science.
A wide range of academic subjects are studied as well as an introduction to the philosophy and practice of animal techniques. The first year of the programme is delivered at Warwickshire College where students have access to library and animal facilities. The second year of the programme is conducted at various sites throughout the country where practical skills are taught under the supervision of a qualified practitioner. The programme is semestered over two years and students are required to attend monthly weekend tutorial sessions.
The programme is taught at Masters level and students must be capable of working at this standard.Students who are not chiropractors or osteopaths are required to undertake a programme of training in animal manipulation skills (Graduate Diploma in Animal Therapy).
Validated by the University of Wales, the programme is taught over two years, and leads to the award of a MSc Animal Manipulation. The academic year begins in January of each year, and the annual intake is limited.
For those graduates who are chiropractors, this programme provides a route to Membership and Fellowship of the Royal College of Chiropractors and the Specialist Animal Faculty.
The overall aim of the programme is to offer sound teaching in the theory and practice of animal manipulation, with particular emphasis on the McTimoney technique.It aims to produce safe, competent and reflective practitioners as well as encouraging opportunities for research and further post-graduate studies.
